Mark Hamill portrait painting
The inspiration for this new painting came unexpected when I visited a friend in Umbria, Italy. One summer evening we were enjoying a stone oven baked pizza at our favourite restaurant at the lake. Only one other table was occupied by an elderly gentleman who seemed familiar to me. He was eating his dinner while busy on his phone. I whispered to my friend: “There is the mastermind behind the Star Wars movies.” Without disturbing him we had a great dinner realising the presence of George Lucas himself at the other table. The seed for this painting was planted.
Back in my atelier I started to create the Mark Hamill portrait painting, 100x200cm. Painted with the pallet knife on canvas. Mark Hamill himself liked and shared the painting. One-off unique collector’s item. Hand painted. Does not exist as a photo.
