Personalized Portrait Painting in 9 steps

- Subject: Determine the subject of the portrait. One or more persons? A classic car, sports car, yacht, landscape, skyline…?
- Posing or Photos: Peter Engels prefers working from photos rather than live posing. Posing can become tedious and time-consuming, whereas photos allow for the selection of the best and most flattering images as a basis for the painting. You can provide your own high-resolution, close-up photos or have Peter Engels take them.
- 50% Deposit: Once you and Peter Engels have agreed on the size and price, he will request a 50% deposit.
- Sketch: Peter Engels will create a sketch, allowing you to see the painting’s composition. With your approval, he will proceed with the artwork.
- Process: Throughout the creation of your artwork, Peter Engels will keep you updated with photos and videos, either through social media or privately.
- Certificate of Authenticity: Upon completion and your satisfaction with the painting, Peter Engels will provide a certificate of authenticity, verifying that the piece is an original and unique Peter Engels artwork. This certificate is crucial for the value of your art investment.
- Shipping: The painting will be bubble wrapped and securely packaged, often in a custom wooden case, depending on the destination and shipping method. The painting will be fully insured during transport. The cost of shipping (including packaging and insurance) will be calculated based on the delivery address.
- Enjoy Your Investment: Hang the painting using two screws protruding a few centimeters from the wall. For optimal display, illuminate the painting with a spotlight on its lightest area.
