Bob Mendes, Flemish faction thriller author wrote about the art by Peter Engels in his faction thriller ‘Dirty Money’ (original Dutch title: Vuil Geld).
Peter Engels who likes to read Bob Mendes says: ‘Another solid thriller of a rare quality. The story roars, the style is superb and the depth is immense. This is a world class novel. It kept me submerged and reading. This book can easily stand next to John Le Carré’s. As a writer Bob Mendes is like wine. He gets better with the years. ‘Dirty Money’ should be made into a blockbuster film. The fact that Bob writes about my art was a complete but pleasant surprise.”

Sadly Bob Mendes passed away early october 2021 at the respectable age of 93. We lost a first class author. But he left us some literary diamonds. Peter Engels says: “Bob Mendes left a mark. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know him and paint his portrait. He definitely is in my hall of fame.”
